Overview

Coverage Agent specializes in structured test generation. Pick the mode that matches your source of truth—live webpage, PRD, Figma, or both—and the agent will extract signals, reason about risks, and respond with executable coverage.

DOM-Aware

Feature Mode inspects live pages to propose UI and API validations.

Doc & Design Fusion

PRD-only, Figma-only, and combined modes keep specs and UX aligned.

Shared Workflow

  1. Launch New ChatCoverage Agent.
  2. Choose a mode that matches the evidence you can provide.
  3. Supply required inputs (URL, PRD files, or Figma link) and describe the goal.
  4. Let the agent ingest artifacts, then review the generated test cases and gap analysis.
  5. Iterate with follow-up instructions (e.g., “focus on accessibility” or “limit to smoke tests”).
  6. Export results to suites or download as CSV/JSON for tooling.

Picking a Mode

ModeBest ForPrimary Inputs
Feature ModeValidating live environments or staging buildsPublic or authenticated URL + optional credentials
PRD ModeRequirements traceability and spec reviewsUploaded PRD docs (PDF, DOCX, or Markdown)
Figma ModeVisual regression and UX interaction coverageFigma file/link with permission to view components
PRD + Figma ModeFull alignment between requirements and designCombination of PRD files and Figma link
Unsure which to pick? Start with Feature Mode for quick wins, then layer PRD or Figma context for deeper validation.

Best Practices

Be Directive

Prompts like “Generate smoke tests for billing flows” yield structured suites faster than vague asks.

Name Inputs Clearly

Label uploads (Onboarding_PRD_v3.pdf) so the agent can cite the correct source in responses.

Thread Your Iterations

Ask to “expand scenario 2” or “convert to Gherkin” inside the same chat rather than restarting.

Version Every Run

Tag outputs with release names so you can trace what shipped and when coverage changed.
Modes that require files or design access will fail silently if permissions are missing. Confirm sharing settings before starting.

Manage Generated Workflows

  • Select individual workflows to inspect justification, effort, and impact.
  • Activate only the workflows you want to ship; the rest stay in draft.
  • Download the full coverage plan for offline review or compliance sign-off.
  • Copy any workflow to reuse in Craftflow, suites, or external tooling.
Activate after reviewing assertions and data inputs—publishing immediately makes the workflow available to everyone with suite access.
